The people I work with vary in experience.-

Beginners~ maybe have never done yoga, or tried it a long long time ago but didn’t stick with it. I enjoy working with beginners, and I do it a lot.

People who have done yoga before and for some reason stopped~ often because they found it to be uncomfortable, too difficult, or even painful. They want to find and approach that works for them. I enjoy helping them discover how yoga can meet their individual needs.

Seasoned Practitioners~ have been doing yoga for years and would like to take their practice to a deeper level. Sometimes they want to explore pranayama or the use of sound in asana, and sometimes they just want to learn more about Viniyoga.

Whatever your experience with yoga, the classes at Sage Stone will meet you where you are and help you gently progress to where you want to go. That might include improved range of motion, greater flexibility and relaxation, spiritual connection, or a deeper understanding of what yoga is for you. You might want your practice to be strong and challenging, or you might want it to be gentle and soothing, or even therapeutic. Viniyoga uses gentle techniques and gives lots of options so you can make the appropriate choice for your body each time you practice.

If you feel a little self conscious about coming to a group class, or you feel like you have some special issues that need to be addressed, consider doing some personalized private sessions or taking a beginners series. Many of my students have expressed their appreciation for these private sessions where they learn on a one to one basis, and practices are tailored for them. Whichever path you choose you will be glad you took action to do something nice for yourself.
