How do we know yoga therapy works?

An increasing number of research studies show that Viniyoga Therapy is effective.

In 2005 the National Institute of health conducted a study which showed Viniyoga as an effective approach to reducing or eliminating back pain.

Recently Aetna and the American Viniyoga Institute collaborated in a pilot study on mind body approaches to stress reduction. The study showed significant reductions in stress.

The Viniyoga Stress Reduction Program will be expanded to additional Aetna worksites in the spring and summer of 2011.

Additional studies are being evaluated or conducted on generalized anxiety (GAD), abdominal obesity, lung cancer, menopause, and other conditions proving that yoga is a strong ally to us as we strive to improve our health in any condition.
